How can you build a super-efficient computer? UT-professor Christian Nijhuis (Hybrid Materials for Opto-Electronics) is inspired by the human brain. Our brain works on the basis of neurons, firing small electric pulses. Because of this way of working our brains can do very complicated things – like recognizing a face – while using minimal energy. Nijhuis builds artificial neurons, by assembling self-learning molecules. Which promising applications could such a brain like computer have? In cooperation with Scintilla and Arago.
Talkshow host: ir. Peter Timmerman (Studium Generale)
