Case Study CERN

The evening after the lunch lecture, CERN will give two cases, a free pizza is included!

Case 1: Technologies for Proton Monitoring at CERN (17:30 - 18:15)
Dive deep into the cutting-edge technologies used to monitor protons as they travel through CERN's intricate systems, culminating in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Discover how advanced systems accurately map the position, shape, and intensity of proton beams that orbit for hours and collide at four key points. This session will illuminate the engineering marvels and innovative techniques that enable scientists to study the fundamental building blocks of our universe.

Case 2: Insights from Students at CERN (18:45 - 19:30)
In the second part of our event, hear from talented students from the University of Twente who are making waves at CERN. Whether they’ve just graduated or are currently studying, these aspiring scientists will share their experiences working on groundbreaking projects at the forefront of particle physics. Get inspired by their journeys and learn about the exciting opportunities that await the next generation of physicists.

PLEASE NOTICE: Unfortunately this case is only offered in Dutch.
